On the TYTO-01 it shows that it has a gain pot on it have you tried adjusting it? Have you tried working through the radio settings to see if you can adjust certain settings to make it sound better?
Probably better to just bypass the amp unless you have a really cheap or weak aftermarket stereo. The amps back in those days were probably between 15-30 watts RMS. Which alot of decent aftermarket radios these days are putting out that much.

I have noticed that when i park on a flat surface the problem doesn't occur as much as when i let it sit for a couple of hours parked on an incline. Maybe something to do with fluid draining?
