Starter and radiator are < 1 year old. Will do the timing belt and water pump (30K miles) as well as the engine mounts. Mechanic is looking locally for a good looking 3.4L rather than going JDM but its still an option unless we can't find something.

In the same situation as the OP, 98 blew an engine and I think I’m going to put a JDM in it. Haven’t sourced it yet but it makes the most sense to me. Anything else I should consider getting done or checking while the engine is out? 300k on it and I’ll be having someone else do the change.
