Anyone trade in their older 5th gen to purchase a new one? I have a 2012 Trail Edition with KDSS that has 25.5k on it. I'm curious and have contemplated how much it would be to upgrade to a new Trail. With the very low miles I have I think I'd get a good trade in value, just a question of how...
Yeah, agreed with everyone. They just store muck and even worse let it rub on the shock shaft, further eroding performance. They are popular on dirt bikes too and it's the same, just a gimmick.
Sounds like VSC kicked in.
I had it happen for the first time on my 12 TE Sunday going up some mountain switchbacks. There is a light for it but it only stays illuminated while the system is working. It felt like ABS is kicking in when it happened to me. I might have to look at getting mine...
You should have bought in July.
Toyota was offering a 1,000 matching down payment incentive for that month. One of the very few if any times I've seen an incentive on a 4runner.
I bought a salsa red TE with KDSS, running boards and floor mats for 35430 in Denver on July 29th. Running boards...
Except it wasn't.
A stock 3.4 (from a 3rd gen) has 183 hp and 217 ft-lbs at sea level.
A stock 5th gen motor is still ahead of that even at the stated altitude. Adding a SC to a 5th gen would most certainly not be even with a 3.4 at sea level.
Yep, living at elevation equals much slower cars. Forced induction however really helps. Wait a year and supposedly the TRD supercharger will be out.
I figure I'll be at around 15k miles then and everything will be broken in and I'll be ready for a SC. Save $13 a day and you should have a...
Yeah but you have larger than stock mud tires, a lift and wheels that are likely heavier than stock.
The lift and bigger mud terrains are what is really killing your mileage and making you think you need more power, which yes you might with your mods. Have you manually calculated your MPG...
