Used the eyenuts supplied then augmented those and the threaded studs from a bolt supply store. Not stainless but much cheaper, I plan to remove the non stainless in the winter anyway as I don’t need those ones then.

Yep, one ratchet on each end over side handles of both boxes and one over the top. Allows for easy access. Used supplied eye nuts and threaded studs. Have supplemented that gear from local hardware suppliers since. Endless variations. Meant to take close up pics for the plano box forum thread...
I am consistently amazed by how some people get so offended by fake beadlocks. Frankly, I like the way they complement my fake hood scoop.
Now, a donked 4runner, that would truly be offensive !
But it is simple, I have one ratchet on each end and one over the top. Can keep the boxes attached and only loosen one strap to get the tops off. Ratchets attach to eye bolts. This rack is so versatile you can do whatever setup you want. Pretty sure my plan of having two setups simultaneously...
