Used the eyenuts supplied then augmented those and the threaded studs from a bolt supply store. Not stainless but much cheaper, I plan to remove the non stainless in the winter anyway as I don’t need those ones then.

The offset alone makes the SCS worth it.

As I foreshadowed on April 2nd... But it is worth the wait. I was frustrated too this time last year and beyond but now I'm a happy camper. Its a great quality product.

Yep, one ratchet on each end over side handles of both boxes and one over the top. Allows for easy access. Used supplied eye nuts and threaded studs. Have supplemented that gear from local hardware suppliers since. Endless variations. Meant to take close up pics for the plano box forum thread...

Finally got to test the new rack! Didn't have the full recovery gear on this trip but everything has its spot. Worth the wait.

I am consistently amazed by how some people get so offended by fake beadlocks. Frankly, I like the way they complement my fake hood scoop. Now, a donked 4runner, that would truly be offensive !

But it is simple, I have one ratchet on each end and one over the top. Can keep the boxes attached and only loosen one strap to get the tops off. Ratchets attach to eye bolts. This rack is so versatile you can do whatever setup you want. Pretty sure my plan of having two setups simultaneously...

Unfortunately out of town until tomorrow then a quick pack up for a backpacking trip so no time to set up and post. But will post pics of both of my setups soon. I have one for a full family trip (two Plano boxes and a roof bag) and one set up for off-road camping (with one kid) where the roof...

Have an SSO roof rack, using ratchet straps.

Plano boxes are great, I got two big ones for the roof rack and one for the back. Cheap and sturdy.
