Totally agree since factory specs say the coolant is good til 100,000. Guess years is more important than miles in this case.

Thanks. Goods heads up. Thanks. I truly am thankful that I didn't warp the heads. What threw me was this: Toyota Parts and Service Coolant flush at 100,000. My car is not abused at all. I regularly maintain it according to factory specs. Could this have been avoided?

FYI: Yesterday on my to work I notice the check engine and VRSB lit up on my dash. I just figured the gas cap wasn't on all the way until I noticed my temp gauge climbing quickly. I popped the hood and there was coolant leaking all over the place. I couldn't tell from where as I had my work...

2006 - Ok so far 2006, parked outside during the day in So Cal. Sometimes I get in and the dash is so hot you can't touch it. So far, no cracks. Of course when I get to my car today there probably will be one. Ha ha. Good luck with your guys, hope Toyota helps you out.

It was a bad gas cap. Kinda strange a five year old car with less than 50,000 miles would have a bad gas cap. I replaced it for $27 from the dealer, unhooked the battery cable for a few minutes and all is right again. Don't forget to reset your power windows after unhooking the battery. Good...

I'm having the same problem and I'm sure it's the gas cap as mine wouldnt tighten correctly. Will the dash lights reset themselves automatically after I replace the cap or should I pull the battery terminal to get the computer to reset?

The key I purchased is definitely not OEM. It doesn't have the tiny circle/dot on it like my original key has, and appears more cheaply made. Perhaps it was something in the way the locksmith cut it that won't allow it to lock the glovebox?

I checked the glovebox using my Amazon key and it worked fine.

2006 SR5. I bought it used with only one key. I've been paranoid about losing the one key I have so it brings a lot of peace of mind to have a spare just in case.

My key from Amazon arrived today so I had it cut at a local locksmith. Brought it home and programmed it using the directions. Worked perfect! Thank you for saving me a lot of money!
