I figured the tires would affect MPG more. I called the tire shop I was dealing with, those rims are too wide and the offset is too much to work without a lift kit at all. For anyone wondering, 17x8.5 needs offset of >= 11. 17x9 needs >=18. This is for minimal to no rubbing, tire size still...

I really want to avoid a lift, due to gas mileage as I drive a lot, but I have a set of 275/65/17 BFG A/T on the way with some Level 8 Strike 6 -12 offset wheels coming. Basically I want someone to say I won't rub or that it would be minor rubbing. Otherwise tell me that I MUST add my daystar...
