Where do you see trail editions for 35k? lowest I have seen is 40k and i am not sure if that has KDSS (because toyota's website SUCKS).

Good post, and valid question. I think maybe 90% of my "off road" use will be rutty trails and whatnot. That being said, I would like to go to some of the national parks (big bend etc...) and experience that. To be honest though, being so new to it all I can't intelligently answer that question.

Juding by autotrader, you probably could get that transaction done. I think the GX just depreciates much more quickly than the trail (probably the trail has more of an enthusiast base).

I know the GX attack angles are worse. I also think that things like crawl control are optional on teh GX (which I'd need to look out for),but then I don't know if the trail edition has that standard. Thanks for your reply... really hoping someone knows enough details to compare the two by...
