2006 V8 AWD Sport edition. I can switch between 4 low/high but the transfer case remains locked in 4WD and does not return to AWD. Any suggestions?

I cant remember my stock tire size, I think they are 32's.. 2006 V8 Sport edition... But I put on the same size BFG KO2's and at full wheel like theres a TINY hint of a rub. I'm glad I didnt go larger.

I have no idea if this applies to you, but if the tiny weak wire that connects to each wheels braking ABS system is broken all of those lights will light up. I know from experience :D EDIT : a lift will commonly stretch these wires to the point of breaking.

I had my lift installed by a mechanic doing side work. After the lift my wheel wasnt centered. Took it to 4wheel parts for the alignment and got it back with the wheel where it should be.

My lift came with new shocks. Xreas had to go, I cant say my 4runner is the same but I didnt have any new warning lights I didnt have before.

Its a very noticable surge upto 400 rpm when the engine is cold. About 30 seconds and 30 seconds off. Does all of the time, makes it impossible to maintain a steady speed. Anyhow I'm not sure what brake could have to do with that? EDIT : 400rpm in the V8 model is a lot of additional power...

I love my V8, I also dont commute to work and care little about the MPG. My friends are all shocked at the get up and go it has, 4.7 scoots along with a 4 speed with OD auto transmission just fine :)

Was your engine broken in with synthetic oil? Changing the oil type after the break in period can cause problems itself. Some will tell you modern engine dont have/need a break in period. I'm tempted to agree with them, but I havent met any mechanic that will tell you to switch after the engine...

I bought and had professionally installed a ALLPRO lift for my 82 toy pickup. The lift stated 4-5 inches, it was closer to 7-8 inches. Accessories such as heavy bumpers or winch can add to springs compressing. So can high milage.
