I clear coated it because of both, worried about damage and I feel it looks alot better and darker black with clear coat on it. I put 3 coats on mine..

Ok as for shipping costs I opted to have it sent by air. Cost me an additional 126 dollars but I got it in about 3 weeks. Did this cause of the backup in the ports and guys waiting months to get theirs. Total bill for me was 204.00. Didn't really save much but oh well..

My bolts were not rusted cause I live in South Louisiana. The only problem I had was getting a couple to slide out of the housings on the old grille. As for the new grille I added some silicone to the back of the head of the bolts to keep them in place while I installed the grille. That done I...

Thanx... Got it from Etsy. It is attached by two flat pieces of metal that have been screwed on with nuts and lock washers. It didn't come with the lock washers but I put them on to make sure it didn't come off. I also painted the metal plates so you can't see them thru the grill..

Here's mine installed. Was easy to get the old one off but putting the new one on was a bear for me. I think my hood may have been bent some cause I had to pound the grille on the left side so the nuts would go on the screws. The seal was also fun. Got mine from Modern Toyota.... All in all...

Tolbs, I bought a new seal from a dealer called Modern Toyota. It was 15 bucks. I got it but until I take the old grille off and look at the old one I won't know how to install it. It is pretty flimsy and stuck on with 3m tape. Am clear coating the new grille right now. Stay tuned, news at 10..

Ok guys I figured it out. There is a piece that runs along the bottom of the old grille that comes unsrewed and the lower latch fits to it. Got it now...
