    FS/FT, Built 1st Gen (85) 4Runner, TEXAS

While I have pretty much decided to keep the truck and keep on keeping on.. I would like to to try and throw out one last attempt at selling. I had a kid recently, so this truck has pretty much been in the garage for the last few months; while I drive the other two vehicles we own around. Since...

    WTT Land Cruiser for 4runner

    What year 4runner?

What is this? And where do I get one

Mine have also become extremely fragile and flaky. I would also be interested if you ever find a reputable source.

Finally got a few minutes to spare to take some photos of the rig: I've had a bit more time to think of what I want to do with this rig. I am willing to negotiate down my price by taking out items from the deal (3rz, sliders, e-locker, etc.). Just hit me up if you have...

4.56 Diff w/ Aussie Lockers - Good price or no?

I would jump on it. As the previous poster mentioned, doing the gear swap and locker install along is worth way more. Besides, 4.88 on 33s is too high IMO.. I've got 4.88s on 35s and it's just right. 456 seems like it would fit the bill just fine.

Thanks man! I would really hate to see this rig go, but getting kids in and out w/ carseats is a pain, and my oldest is showing some interest finally in coming along with me on my adventures. 4 Doors would just make that all easier. I'd be interested in trading for a clean rig plus some cash...

    Oil in radiator

If you reused the cover and didn't change the timing kit, then I'd say that could be it. I bought mine overheating and lots of coolant in the pan and vise a versa. Was a mess, but 100% related to the timing chain and not head gasket. Pull the valve cover off, and peak in there with a light to...

    What's it worth?

I see your point. I chose my rebuild parts wisely... and this engine has driven me 18k miles without a hitch.. a good amount of that has been middle of nowhere. The reason I chose not to dump excessive amount of money into the 22re was because in the end, it wasn't a bang for your buck...

    What's it worth?

I have a very similar 4runner I just listed today on here (I won't be pimping it here, just look in classifieds if you want). One thing I will say is 4k in a rebuild on a 22re seems silly to me. Even if you have someone rebuild it for you (turn-key), I would not expect to pay that much. Maybe...

    FS/FT, Built 1st Gen (85) 4Runner, TEXAS

I go back and forth on selling/trading this rig, but being that I have a 3rd kid on the way, something larger and/or 4 doors would be very useful for my outings with my wife and 3 boys. 1985 4runner - Purchased in 2009 w/ 217k on the clock. I have been DDing it since 2012. It has taken me back...

Has anyone gone from 4Runner to Sequoia or Vice Versa

I've driven a couple of sequoias, and I will say that they feel like cars in stock form.. I've also heard that they perform quite well offroad for a family rig that size.

    Who knows what this is?

As the others said, leak is probably coming from the lines from the condenser to that dryer.. Get in there and look for some oily residue.. if not inject some die into the system.

    Upper Ball Joint Removal

Try to use some heat, and a hammer. That tool is better than the fork some people use.
