I thought that too, then came the gobi ladder, the ko2's, accessories for the rack, sliders...... It'll never end .

Per Fuelly, i was getting almost 19 in town and about 17 on the highway. I drive a tundra for work and i think it makes me drive the 4runner a bit old manish. Just put 275 ko2's on it, waiting to see how much that affects mpg.

Its incredibly ugly. Works on a fj. Not on a 4runner

I have rails running the length of both sides. They work great giving me a point to tie down kayaks, paddleboards and the cargo bag for it. Highly recommend .

It will rub. It actually won't let the tailgate open all the way. I fixed this by installing the rack as far forward as the GPS antenna allows. And used a few plastic shims to raise the back edge of the rack allowing the top of the ladder to pass under the edge of the rack. It still does...
