Went and cleaned it again, did a much more thorough job and it did the trick! So frustrating, but glad that it is up and running again! Thanks for the help!:playball:

It is a MAF, I just tried cleaning it, but no luck. I'm afraid that when my friend unscrewed the two little screws on it he messed it up. I have seen posts emphasizing the importance of not doing that.

I tried that, but everything looked ok. My friend did accidentally unscrew the two screws on it that the wire harness plugs into. Could that have messed up the connection?

Could a bad MAF cause it not to start? I'm about 99% sure my MAF needed to be replaced before I installed the intake. I got poor gas mileage, poor idle (vibrations), and throttle hesitation.

Sorry, I am a bit of a noob. It is the V6 3.0 I installed it according to the directions from K&N. I did disconnect the MAF, but reconnected it after installation. Any other questions? I will go take some pictures. Thanks for your help man!

So my mom bought me a new K&N Intake for my 94 4Runner and I installed it last night. After installation, the engine wouldn't start. It would crank, but it wouldn't actually start. I took it to a shop last Friday and the mechanic thought it was the igniter as well. He replaced it and I got it back yesterday and so far so good! Thanks for the help man!

I sure hope that's what it is. I am replacing it tomorrow. I am sick of it happening. Question though, what all symptoms were you seeing? Were they all the same as mine? Anything different?

I can't get it to throw any codes which makes it even more of a pain.

The only thing is that this problem is intermittent. Sometimes it will act up really bad and other times I can't get it to. I did check all of the wirings and everything looked alright. I'm thinking that it may be the igniter now. Thanks for the tips!

I'm not letting go of the gas though, thats the thing. My foot is down on the accelerator when the RPM's drop to zero, i'm not taking my foot off the gas in the videos at all.
