    FS: 2015 Trail w/KDSS - $33k - Indiana

Bump to the top. I have folks interested, but I'm also eyeing a car at a local dealer and may make a trade this weekend. This thing may be off the market by Monday! Dan

    FS: 2015 Trail w/KDSS - $33k - Indiana

Sad to see it go - I've loved this truck and would love to keep it. It's name is Kevin, BTW and my kids are obsessed with it. We use it for family road trips mostly, but I've had it on backroads here and there around Indiana, Colorado, Utah, etc. I do not rock crawl, and I do not do muding...

    What is it?

Correct, and they're tuned in terms of size to target certain problematic frequencies. Hence muliple are used of varying sizes/shapes. It's worth noting that air doesn't flow through them, so they do not contribute to pressure drop through the intake tube. Dan

    Toyota 5th Gen 30K Maintenance/Service Buyers Guide

My wife's Lexus RX has a brake fluid flush as part of the standard service 30k maintenance. Dan

Trail Edition is now officially the TRD Off Road

Agreed. And let's not act like TRD means anything; they're all Toyota parts designed by Toyota. People act like TRD is some Skunkworks type operation of rebellious engineers gone rogue. In reality; Toyota decides to put the TRD label on whatever parts it wants; shocks, wheels, floor mats...

    5th Gen 4Runner Trail Premium - What's your Experience?

I agree; I've always thought that Toyota channeled the 3rd gen when they designed the 5th gen. Dan

    5th Gen 4Runner Trail Premium - What's your Experience?

Do the non-KDSS Trail skids tuck up any higher than the KDSS version? My recollection is that they don't. Look at the TRD skid plate; it can be cut out to allow for KDSS sway bar articulation, so it doesn't sit any higher than my stock KDSS skid plate. Dan

    5th Gen 4Runner Trail Premium - What's your Experience?

On a semi-related note: you don't need that much lift to fit some 33" tires. I'm running 1.25" of lift in the front and have 33" ATs. Awesome combo, and just got back from a 1,000 road trip heavily loaded with a bike rack on the back and got >20mpg. I get that you may be after more travel...

Morons? Idiots? Stupid? Well, perhaps ....

Perspective is a funny thing; I once had a Tacoma with the plug hanging way down on a bracket. After dragging it many times (not really "wheelin", just on rough roads with washouts), it broke off and I was disappointed in the design. Got my 5th gen 4Runner and couldn't believe how smart the...

Talk me into a 2016 Trail Premium w/KDSS

Don't get me wrong, they're great cars. And with the Torsen center diff, my wife's is like a snowmobile. But no way could we manage one of our summer trips with all of the gear for our family of 4. Dan
