I like the ride of my trail edition, but I wouldn't call it 'plush'. Honestly if you're this concerned with ride quality, test driving is the only way to go. We can make it sound as good or bad as we want on here, but ultimately only you know your own preferences. Good luck in the search, hope...

I do quite a bit of mountain driving here in CO, and can say that while I'm never worried about the 4runner making it over a pass, it certainly has to work for it... Granted I came from a WRX :eyebrows: And welcome 03_4x4Runner!

I recently considered making the leap to a new TE, but decided to keep the one I have. Went ahead and got it lifted and have a Gobi on order. I figure I'll have this one paid off years before I'd have a new one paid off and at 75k miles, this one's just getting broken in!
