I bought spare keys off Amazon last month for my 03 for a few bucks with ace hardware cutting them for free. There was a note from the seller that stated a dealer has to program the key but I just ignored it and did the lengthy procedure myself. Worked like a charm first try.

It should. I had one about ten years ago and it completely disassembles into manageable pieces, though the pieces might be a little dirty or rusty. Putting it back together can be a bit time consuming.
