Is there anyway you guys could do a tutorial on how to fix this, I'm having the same problem and didn't know where to start until I found this thread but I have no idea of where and how to install the diode or where to buy it even, so my apologies for my ignorance but I guess you have to start...

Hi, I'm new to this forum and also installed this mirror and have the same issue with the lights flashing on the mirror when I press the lock/unlock button, could you tell me what wire did you end up using to solve this problem. Thanks in advance!
