So I really can’t say much about the TWAT since we didn’t make it that far. First day we only did about 300 miles and days two we only got another 400 miles. At that point my wife ( who’s 7 month pregó ) tapped out mind you we also have a 3 yr old. We are located a little south so it’s just over...
Looks like it would be a great fall trip. Maybe we can put something together and all or couple of us can go. I’m using this holiday as a chance to explore things around me. I guess I’ll comeback with pics/ info if we do end up going.

I did find this page and downloaded the GPX files. They are really useful for sure. Wife, kid and I will be marking this trip this weekend without much planning. Worst case I think we can find a small hotel if we can’t find a camping spot. Thanks for the help !

Has anyone here done Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail ( TWAT ) ? If so any recommendations for sleeping location? Looks like all camp grounds have been spoken for or are first come first served. Thanks for all the help in advance

I just did the same thing. What I ended doing was mount the lights as if your going to button everything up. I left the Allen screws a little lose. Then just push/ aim them down and tighten Allen screws to your liking.

I was thinking about this today as I was driving home. I did take a look at the manual and I couldn’t see a top/recommended speed while in 4WD. Only thing it said was be under 50MPH in manual version and 62 in auto. Looking forward to seeing what is passed on here.

Well it seems much worst that what it was lol he ended up sucking a bit of water and had to hold the RPMs up for some time after he was out so it wouldn’t die. I would like to say he had more than a GL worth of water coming from the exhaust afterwards. Over all good time

So the meet went well, about 20 rigs ended up showing up. Everyone was really nice and very helpful. Here are some pics I stole from others since I suck as a camera man lol

I haven’t had the pleasure of having these guys work on my 4runner but I always hear great stuff about them. I have been to their store and I can say they are SUPER FRIENDLY and give good advice.
