Friday bump. A few people asked about the timing belt. It was done at 85k. The frame is in excellent shape. There was frame rot by the right rear trailing arm when I bought it, but this was professionally repaired. All rotted sections were cut out and replaced with CNC cut steel and expertly...

Timing belt was done by the original owner.

Super clean, two owner vehicle. 167k miles. Fully loaded with 3.4L V6 engine, automatic transmission, towing package and multimode AWD system. Well maintained with all records. Only synthetic oil used. Recent oil change (November 2019) and overhauled brakes/suspension in November of 2017...

I prefer the suction type devices. I stick a tube down the dipstick hole and vacuum the oil out. No need to get on the ground, pull the skid plate etc. Faster and cleaner. A good setup is only about $60.

The mileage is high, but these trucks are extremely reliable. Provided it was well maintained, I see to problem. My biggest concern would be rust.

Replace bushings. To me, that's the best bang for the buck. Cheap, but takes a good amount of time/effort to install. I installed KYB shocks in mine. They're good, but a bit stiff. I would inspect the strut mounts too.

Back when i lived in Aiken, there was a good off-roading community in the area.

Looks very easy. However, I would try cleaning the electrical contacts and the sensor and reluctor wheel first. I've seen crud get on these and cause problems with the sensor. A quick squirt of cleaner and compressed air fixes the problem.

Sounds like over-torquing. Dumbasses :(

This is a good list. I would only add a couple things that I *think* I didn't see: -fuel filter -spark plug wires I buy almost everything from RockAuto these days. It's very easy to get a 5% off coupon for them
