TPMS and Firestone
Since this has become a bit of a TPMS discussion I will post here. A couple of weeks ago I had posted this to an old TPMS thread over in Problems and Warranty but got no responses.

2004 TPMS problem, Firestone can't diagnose
I took my spare tire to the Firestone dealer the other week for repair since it had gone flat while I was out in the desert. I have used the place before, once to repair a stock tire from this truck and again to replace all 5 tires with Revos.
This...
This is what I did as soon as I got mine.
I washed using an alkaline solution; I added TSP to a standard car washing cleaner to make it alkaline. Then clayed and finally put on a couple of coats of synthetic polymer (Zaino's).
A few weeks ago I had Safelite replace the windshield in my 2004 4Runner. The price in Pasadena, CA was $185. I didn't have the auto-dimming mirror. I didn't ask for Toyota glass but I noticed that the box the glass came from said "Genuine Toyota Parts".
I have 2 master keys so somewhere I have misplaced the valet key. If I can only have 4 keys programmed into the system at a time this means I can only get one additional transponder key without reprogramming of the truck.
I have plenty of non-transponder keys. A locksmith shop had no trouble...
So how much does a dealership charge for an additional master key? Is there a limit to how many they can make?
I always carry a spare when I go on a trip and it seems that I have misplaced one. I can only find two, I think I must have had 3 when I got the truck from the dealer.
Last weekend my 4Runner windshield got hit with a stone that caused a crack. Any suggestions on where to go in the vicinity of Pasadena, CA to get the windshield replaced?
You can exact some retribution but it will take considerable effort. It depends on how mad you are.
At least things are a little better than they were until just recently. In the past towing companies were regulated by the Feds but the Republicans had defunded the regulatory agency so there...
Not if it is correctly adjusted. When one is on a quest for maximum hp it is necessary to take some small risks.
What does tuning engine performance have to do with safety? Stupid Toyota engineers; obviously, any clown can design a better chip than them.
