If you replace it with an identical sub, no need for an amp. If you use a different sub with the same configuration (2 ohm, dual voice coil) it will work but would sound better with a dedicated amp. If you get any other sub you will need an amp.

I'd think as long as they changed camber and/or caster then they had to have moved the alignment cams and you are all set. The lift should not cause a problem for the LBJ, it will just sit at a slightly different angle than before. Have fun!
