K&N filter ok to run? Resurrecting an old thread here. I’m currently running the stock intake with a k&n drop in. Sounds like a few people recommended not using one when running the deck plate mod and replacing it with a oem style filter instead. Any particular reason for this?

I used Meguiars 105 for my cutting compound with a medium-heavy pad, Meguiars Ultimate Polish with a medium-light pad, and followed with Ultimate paste wax with a light pad. If I had to do it again, I would up the pads on each step.

I spent 9 hours doing a full paint correction and the results came out amazing. The paint was HORRID before, and now it looks so much better. Not perfect, but it was a great learning experience for me using a dual action polisher.

I used Rustoleum gunmetal. If I had to do it again, I'd go with Duplicolor.

Some new goodies for the 4Runner! I went with a 3" Bilstein 6112 lift (5100's in the rear), SPC UCA's, and TRD OffRoad wheels with ProComp tires in 265/70/17R. Got rid of the running boards as well. I also got some 01/02 tails and put LEDS in them. Later this week she's getting a well deserved...

I just took it into my local Toyota mechanic and it definitely needs a few small things, but nothing serious. One of those things on the top of the list is all of the major fluid changes.

Well, it won't be stock for long. 3" suspension lift, tires and wheels ordered today haha. Also if you're serious about finding another one, use autotempest.com. You'll thank me later.

Unfortunately the paint isn't in perfect condition, but it is salvageable. It needs a serious paint correction and detail but thats going to be a project for me next month. Luckily there's no peeling clearcoat.
