    Don't drag the pointer, set the 1st destination, wait for gmaps to calculate route; then click the + button, and that allows you to enter the 2nd destination, etc. Verified on Windows 7.

    you should be able to set a bunch of consecutive destinations, instead of simply setting a final destination, which will give you the shortest route.
