    Wheels: Smaller Rim Better?

If you have the larger brakes the smallest size wheel that you could go would be a 17".

    Fail to start

Sounds like the battery to me. A bad battery can allow all of the lights on the dash etc. to come on but not have enough CCA's (cold cranking amps) to start the engine. How old is the battery? I would have it tested at an auto parts store.

    Seafoam?

I read every thread in the post. You didn't like the answers you got from people trying to help you and got defensive about it. If you already know the answer and or don't like the advice or insight given regarding your problem, then don't ask the question.

    Seafoam?

If you're not looking for speculations then don't come on the forum asking us to speculate on what you're problem may be based on symptom descriptions on things we can't see or hear. This forum is here to assist others based on other members experience. If you don't like the answer from other...

    clunk after lift

The pre-assembled question is a good one. The bolts on top of the coils where the shocks attach need to be torqued to a specific rate. Over or under tightening them could cause this. On a side note, since you've just done the lift make sure to check your CV boots frequently for leaks the next...

Scan Gauge --- is this cold or what?

Started mine once at -24. This is how I felt turning the key.

Scan Gauge --- is this cold or what?

How do you like your scan gauge? Which model do you get? I listen to a lot of Kevin Rutherford on the XM trucker channel on my LONG road trips and I know he had a lot to do with the design.

    ARB Bumper

I'm very happy with my ARB bumper and OME lift. The thing I like is that the two are designed to work together. I had my ARB on for a few months before the lift (hit an elk so I pulled the trigger) You definitely notice it but no issues without the lift. Once I had the OME lift on the truck...

Modifying the 4runner? or buy motorcycle

I own both. It's a tough choice though. In my opinion it really depends on the bike you get. Judging by the mods you are debating over I imagine it would buy much of a bike, however one of my greatest enjoyments in life is riding my touring bike across the U.S. and beyond. If it's just going...

HELP! what is wrong with my 4R

Hopefully it didn't do too much secondary damage but ANY length of driving with a busted CV joint can cause catostrophic damage to the driveline, especially around the hub of the broken CV joint. Usually something that has those symptoms is a stop and tow situation. I've got my fingers crossed...

When do lower ball joints need to be replaced - symptoms?

Within 30 miles of installing my OME lift I checked underneath the front to find that due to the altered driveline angle, the CV boots on the diff side had pulled up the axle shafts and broken the seal to the point grease was leaking out. I removed the factory clamps off the boot and got a...

    Updated my Sport Edition Wheels!

Great look! You have more patience than I do. I think you'll like the Duratracs, I love mine.

    WinJet Fog lights

:iagree: Replacing fog lights with HID's defeats the purpose of fog lights, unless you're going for that tuner look. If you spend a lot of time in snow and dense fog and prefer the selective yellow (like I do) then the original post is a good suggestion.

HELP! what is wrong with my 4R

I'm leaning towards this too. CV joint failure, which by continuing to drive with a failing CV joint caused bearing failure which can cause caliper and brake failure. If you feel something that abnormal in the driveline its a sign that something is seriously wrong, stop immediately before you...
