New engine runs! The swap took a while (being my first time pulling an engine), but overall it wasn't too bad. I was told the "new" used engine was out of an 01 4Runner with 165k. From everything I can tell this was out of an pre-00 manual 4Runner, based on the various lines and connections...

For some time now I've been misfiring at startup for 10-15 seconds after sitting overnight, but it quickly goes away and drives just fine after that. It also seemed to faintly smell like oil, pointing me to the valve stem seals. I ordered all of the parts and waited for a good time to do this...
