Real World MPG with 5th Gen?

According to aCar app: Average: 17.3 Min: 16.2 Max: 18.1 My daily commute (24 mile roundtrip) is pretty much all highway at elevations between 4200-5100' asl. Stock-sized Cooper AT3's, no exterior mods yet... I ignore the avg mpg number on the dash. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Things you did not know about your 4runner

Nice! I prefer the wintergreen. I found this perfect spot on day 1 after moving my gear over from my Tacoma. It was meant to be.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Agreed. Even basic first aid training makes a world of difference and those store bought kits are pretty much only useful for cuts and scrapes at home. I always upgrade my kits and take out all the useless "supplies" to save weight/space. -AED is a serious addition. That reminds me, I need to...

Nice pics. Lots to explore here in Utah. I love the Utah desert.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Nice, can't really substitute for the proper emergency supplies. It's easy to forget that some of the supplies need to be refreshed after time, especially if sitting in a vehicle for an extended amount of time. I took a Wilderness First Responder course many years ago for work, but I knew the...

Good to know. Strange that any part of the rack would have touched the roof or even come close. The Tacoma racks were designed really well, plenty of clearance. I added fender washers to the tops of the spacers so I could seal it up easier with silicone. No water leak issues whatsoever.

Haha, nice name for them. I've seriously considered installing some red lights, nice job.

    T4R First-Aid

Important post, thanks. I think everyone should have some sort of a first aid kit in their car even if you don't think you'll ever need to use one. Someday you will or someone else might.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Thanks for the list/idea. I've always used a soft bag that I can take backpacking when with a group of friends. I also take the same kit for field work and camping. A hard case will be a nice addition to my EQ/emergency kit in the truck. Seems either I'm always the responsible one looking after...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Nice. I had the CABRAC on my Tacoma and really liked it. I'm considering putting one on my TE. How did the install go?

The Definitive Answer to the KDSS Clunk. Maybe. Probably.

:snacker: this is all good stuff to hear. I still have less than 1k on my 2016 TE and I believe I've heard a clunk noise at times. Overall it's much quieter than my Tacoma and its gawd awful creaking of the leaf springs! I'll probably notice the noise more after reading this post.

Does your 5th gen. take 20 minutes to warm up?

I had a 98 4runner that seemed to warm up quick. Switched to a 2013 Tacoma and now in a 2016 4runner trail. We get pretty chilly nights here in Utah in the winter (single digits deg F) but I've never felt like it takes that long to warm up the engine. It's warm by the time I'm done scraping ice...
