    Where to start??

^^ this. In addition, outer tie rods and brakes (preferably on both ends). Wouldn't hurt to check the UBJ either. Those are the most important things and basically in the name of safety first. After that you can worry about luxuries like new bushings.

Bad Clamshell Bushing? Other bearing? Another Noise Thread.

Sorry for the late response, been real busy lately. I'm thinking it was a false alarm and perhaps due to tire alignment. Just for giggles I set my toe as close to 0 degrees as I possibly could and the noise changed immediately. Still gonna take your advice and try hooking up the ears to the rear...

Bad Clamshell Bushing? Other bearing? Another Noise Thread.

Has anyone here installed the clamshell bushing from ECGS and had it go bad? I've been trying to track down this crazy pulsing drone sound in my front end for a while now and I'm beginning to think it's related to the front diff, or maybe the CVs at the very least. Right between 35-40 there's...

    Value idea?

Sounds like the frame is gone, or damn near at the least. So I'd say a whopping $0, because anything number you come up with he can most certainly find a similar 4Runner far less rusty for the same price Not sure what lesson you're trying to teach by scamming your child during a time of need by...

Constantly losing power to gauge cluster

Tool out the taps/splices, repaired the wires, threw in a new relay on the body ecu and new fuses all around - still no luck, lost power again this afternoon after about 5 minutes of driving, with the AC blasting on full no less so I doubt it's heat related like I suspected before. I happened to...

    What could be next P0420

If I'm not wrong, on our vehicles p0420 trips when efficiency reaches like 95% or something, so it's really not much to worry about. If the light just annoys you and Cataclean doesn't work out, you could also try spraying the cats with brakleen through the O2 ports and a straw nozzle. Usually...

Constantly losing power to gauge cluster

Just came to correct myself and say it's B16 and B17, didn't realize the connectors were upside down

Constantly losing power to gauge cluster

I'm well aware of all of that, the question is what the connectors are as the 2000 SR5 EWD doesn't list any connections in the front of the panel and says everything should be connected behind the body ECU - none of which are that shape or have that number of wires (the only diagram for the body...

1UZ-FE swap 99 SR5... well here goes nothin!

Big dip in user base since 2020 so things are a lot slower now, unfortunately mostly experienced and knowledgeable users. Lot of companies also either died out or stopped offering 3rd gen products during the pandemic too. But other than that not a whole bunch

Constantly losing power to gauge cluster

Anybody know what these connectors handle? Every wiring diagram I've looked at says the only connectors on the body ECU are in the back, not the front  (Those wire taps aren't mine, they were from the previous owner trying to hook up an aftermarket immobilizer)

Replacing piston rings without removing engine

The amount of effort and headache that'd involve would be 10x that of disconnecting the trans and pulling the engine. If it's even possible, I'm not sure how you plan on getting them out without pulling the crank with an engine still in the vehicle. I've done that once before on a Cummins K50...

Constantly losing power to gauge cluster

From what I gathered from other forum posts, the fan blower either shares a circuit or needs a signal from the combination meter in order to kick on. Can't really remember exactly what it was but it's something along those lines, though I guess I could check my wiring diagrams to see if that's...

Constantly losing power to gauge cluster

Its the manual HVAC and digital odometer in question, I have a sport model not a limited. What I would unplug would be the entire gauge cluster itself; all 5 connectors However the kicker is that since it's become more frequent I've found that "soft reboot" isn't exactly what's fixing it; it's...
