Coming up on 66 years old. Retired at age 63. At first bought a Subaru Crosstrek as my utility retirement vehicle but that was a mistake as the car was too small and felt a bit fragile. Traded it in on a new 2021 TRD Pro and lived happily ever after:) Coming up on two years of ownership and our...
I bought a 2021 TRD Pro and ended up sticking with the stock rack. I drilled some holes in the cross pieces and have a couple of Maxtrax mounted. It's not a great rack but good enough for my needs.
I use these Seat Shield covers. The are pretty thin and drape over the seat. Been pretty happy with them. Just throw them in the washer if needed. Important to get the non-slip ones. Waterproof Front Seat Covers

I got very much caught up in the Bronco hype and put a deposit down for a Badlands, but got tired of waiting and instead got a new TRD Pro. Lucky me that I kind of backed into buying the better vehicle for my needs. I think the new Bronco looks cool and is better than the 4Runner in extreme off...
I hear you. I am 65 and have no plans to stop, just do less to allow time to recover. Right now I am running 2x/week and cycling 2-4x/week. Been extremely lucky to have not been very injury prone. Also do a fair amount of walking with my wife, and the odd off road motorcycle ride now and then...
Maybe, but resonates with me. I have a TRD Pro, but do a lot of bicycling and running. I spend 30 years running and bicycling back and forth from work. I plan on keeping the 4Runner long term but plan to drive it less and use an electric vehicle more.
I am in a situation where I have two homes, one in the PNW and one in Cali and the 4Runner is temporarily our only vehicle in Cali and it's getting a lot of use. At the moment regular gas is over $5/gallon. I see adding an electric vehicle soon. Of course it will take probably years to offset...
I just picked up a large size (S5) Specialized Gen3 Turbo Levo. It's a big long bike and just barely fits in with the front wheel on the bike, and lifting the back up a bit over the folded rear seats. I always use a rack though. Not interested in putting in a super muddy cruddy mountain bike in...
I bought a 2021 TRD Pro about a year ago and have ended up using it as a daily driver more that I planned. Not the ORP you are asking about, but I have found mine to be very useful and versatile. Not sure about KDSS as mine does not have it. Cornering is not great but it's a truck and not sure...
Your problem is the time constraint and location. I don't have anything helpful to offer except try and wait longer. Things will get better but not soon. Have you thought about a fly and drive? Fly out and drive back.
