ECT button just keeps the RPM's, changes the shift points higher, its good for when your towing

You should buy new shocks, you could buy some Tokico TrekMaster's online(they are 3rd 4runner's original manufacturer so its just like buying them at the dealer but cheaper) and some springs.

It could be one of the bearings in the rear, lift the back wheels up and choke the front ones, turn on your car and put it in drive, if you hear a sort off scratchy noise you should replace the bearing(and the seal-to prevent the wheel seal problem later)

Check the inner part of your rear axle

They're great, the Tokico Trekmaster's are the stock 96-02 shocks, and they are great in comfort and stability!

4cyl. is great and well of course its not fast its a SUV and its about the same torque as a 6cyl. so it doesn't really matter because the V6 is better for towing and only a little quicker, the main difference between the V4 and V6 is that the V4 has the iron chain! :)

In my 98 T4R 4cyl I usually get 350 hwy. its only got 100,000 thought so I guess its because I always maintain it early and dont slam on the pedal hard.

you should either switch to Chevron or Shell they usually use less ethanol and I usually get 26 mpg on my 3rd gen. which is pretty weird because the rating is like 19/22

I recommend you do check the CarFax, because you could find that the car is a salvage and that is why the price is so low, and also check under the hood, if the engine, transmission, suspension, and interior accessories are running well.

I have a 4cyl. auto, I know its not a manual, but I love it because of how torquey it is, it does take a little for throttle response in 1st speed and on the highway though, but still a great car.

Well for a while now my automatic antenna in my 1998 T4R SR5 has made a weird crakling noise so I unplugged the motor so it wouldn't mess up the motor, I'm guessing it's the mast, what should I do to replace it and where can I get these parts needing replacement? Thank you
