Did you bump the transfercase into Neutral? Make sure you're still in 4H.

Does your tranny fluid look like a strawberry milkshake? Are you low on tranny fluid?

New idea for steering wheel cover

I dig it. Looks like you did a nice and clean job with it. :hatsoff:

Time off = Preventative maintenance. Some advice please.

If the truck is new to me, I like to change all the fluids. This way I know for certain that they have been done and when they were last done. It also helps if you keep a log of what work you've performed and when you did it. I can then also gauge whether or not anything is leaking or if the...

Sorry to see the damaged door. At least you got out and had some fun. I have a friend that would say "This is why we can't have nice things" while surveying the damage.

    Clunk sound after startup

I'm not a 4Runner owner but a few Jeeps I owned would clunk their exhaust pipe on the transmission crossmember when the motor mounts and transmission mounts got a little tired and saggy due to age. Howdy from Long Island, NY

You guys aren't kidding. There's a ton of stuff out there - some of which not so good. I'm not sure about buying a rig that's built up or modded by prior owners. I used to get paid to work on cars and I'm a bit fussy (OK, I can be anal) about how things are done. I don't want to spend a lot...

    Clownmeat's build thread

I am really digging your turbo. So cool! I'd go with #4 and keep it simple and inexpensive. I know you're going to build a custom rear bumper that you'll most likely end up tying the snorkel into at some point in the future. Keep up the good and clean work. :hatsoff:

I'm thinking about buying and building up a 3rd Gen as a DD and Off Roader. Just here to get ideas, see what's available and think over my options. Nothing too extreme just a weekend warrior type rig, on a budget. I have time so right now it will be a lot of :keyboard:
