I'm looking to buy a 2000 4r from a small dealer. I am taking to a Toyota specialist tomorrow to get it checked out and was wondering if any of you guys had any advice. I'm sure he will know what to look for, but if there is anything particular that he might not check I would love to know...

Anybody know why the 5 speed isn't even an option anymore? I feel like I have more control with it, especially in snow and slick mud. Any idea if the 2000 sport/highlander came with locking diff.? There was also a button to the left of the steering column that said something about the clutch...
