    Rebuilt, remanufactured, or JDM engine?

Line running from the fuel pressure regulator had a tiny crack. Replaced it. Also found 2 bolts that were not tight. Cleaned MAF sensor with correct MAF cleaning spray. Retorqued everything and restarted. It will rev now! But, hesitates (almost like a gasp) when first hitting the throttle, revs...

    Rebuilt, remanufactured, or JDM engine?

Okay, I went remanufactured head route from cylinder heads international in TX. Thank you to everyone that pushed me that route. Neither of my heads were cracked once I got in there to replace the head gaskets. But I figured it was cheap(ish) insurance to get me another 250k miles. Replaced all...

    Rebuilt, remanufactured, or JDM engine?

Awesome info John. Thank you. You guys have just about talked me into doing a head gasket job. The farthest I've ever torn into an auto engine is replacing some cams. I have a spare vehicle to use while Im doing the work. So, worse case scenario, it needs new heads. Waiting on a machine shop...

    Rebuilt, remanufactured, or JDM engine?

Capable in the garage, I am. Patient, I am not. This is a busy time of year for me with work and the kids. So, my extra time is almost non-existent. I appreciate the link and info Tim.

    Rebuilt, remanufactured, or JDM engine?

I assume you are referring to a JDM swap. They typically have 40-50k miles on them. There is more work on swapping parts over. But, that gives me 200k+ miles until it could or could not happen again.

    Rebuilt, remanufactured, or JDM engine?

Hi everyone! My 99 3rd gen just turned 250k miles. Same week, she starts drinking coolant (more than likely head gasket). I do not want to tear into the top end just to find out the head is cracked too and all that time was wasted. So I'm going the seemingly easier route and just dropping...

FS: 3rd gen 4Runner HID retro-fit headlights h1 mini morimoto Gainesville GA $450

Ive had a few questions PM's regarding the install. The mini kit requires zero cutting of the housing to fit. Just some minor shaving of the bulb opening. Yes, they are super bright and I have been extremely happy with them. Yes, has hi-low beam. Yes, the halos are white and amber switchable. I...

FS: 3rd gen 4Runner HID retro-fit headlights h1 mini morimoto Gainesville GA $450

SOLD SOLD SOLD Retro-fit bi-xenon hid 3rd gen headlights. Completed 3 years ago. All parts came from the retro fit source in Atlanta. I built the kit including the painful oven bake to separate the glass from the housing. It’s the Morimoto mini h1 kit with 70mm halos. Headlight housings were...

WTB: 3rd Gen Roof Rack Sherpa Matterhorn II/Prinsu

Build one. There are a few youtube how to's. Materials can be shipped to your door. I'm too impatient for the rack companies lead times and too cheap to pay their going rates lol. $218 and about 6 hours of my time and I've got a Matterhorn style rack. doooowit
