i just changed my valve cover gaskets on my 99. you gotta take off the top half of the intake to remove the valve covers from start to finish took me about an hour or so. intake gaskets are metal and can be reused. most shops will change these they run for about $200 for the set. so i would say...

got it going it was the IAC it was stuck closed..

the plugs wires and fuel filter is about 3 months old. i gotta check the pump pressure. from what ive been reading i really think its the IAC because it will run if i hold the gas alittle its just at idle the i have the problem thanks

aloha!!!! i have a 99 4runner that just started to act up. it starts and stumbles then dies. if i give it some gas it will run. it seams like the idle is too low. i got it to run for a few min. and the tach was right around 550rpm- 600rpm the manuel says 650- 750rpm how do i adjust to make it...
