2. Yes they fold down. With the slide-out tray, it's pretty flat. I've camped by there a number of times. Recommend some sort of padding though. 3. Yes it comes off easily. Heat up the bolts as they have loctite on them, and remove the bolts on each corner evenly to avoid shifting the bracket...- DL771

Last month, I did a power steering flush on my 5th gen as preventative maintenance since the fluid appeared dark in color.
