Door Lock Actuator Repair FAIL - HELP!

This part is now no longer in the door...Is there something I can do with the remaining part of the actuator that is secured to the inside of the door to release the locking mechanism?

Door Lock Actuator Repair FAIL - HELP!

Tried with my friend last night to replace the driver's door actuator motor in a 2014 Runner. All went fine, but I let my friend reinstall the actuator into the door - here's where the problem starts. I wasn't watching...IDIOT! Now, the door won't open - neither the inside or outside handles...

    Should I? I Should...

Not 4x4, but I don't desire to have a 4x4 anyway. It will get my kayak, dogs, and fishing gear to the places I need!

    Should I? I Should...

My apologies...they are so unevenly worn or whatever that the vehicle shakes pretty violently when braking...

    Should I? I Should...

I have the opportunity to buy the 1998 Limited that I have coveted for 18 years. It has belonged to a good friend for all of those 18 years, and now he's finally ready to sell... It has 275,400 miles. Lived in TX its whole life. I have full service records. Michelins with tons of tread left...

He fixed mine too a few months ago...it's been working without flaw! The new LEDs he put in are nice too...now I can see the numbers and all the buttons work!

Should I stay or should I go?

Yay! Many times things are not nearly as bad as our imaginations make them out to be. Nice!

    Help with potential purchase

Ah, finally, back on track! I thought my shift lever had some wobble, this one had much more. I've seen the threads on replacing the bushings. Looks easy enough! Thanks for any continued feedback on the questions - sans state line arguments!

    Help with potential purchase

I thought that was slightly humorous too... The guy also thought this vehicle had a timing chain. He's a wholesaler. Hopefully I can talk the price WAY down. I still think $5k-ish would be roughly correct for this one in this market.

    Help with potential purchase

I won't regret it... I've had one 3rd gen and 2 5th gens, don't really need or want 4WD. I just think they are the best all-around vehicles. Love the size, looks, rear window that rolls down...all of it. Thanks though!
