I'll keep it short: 05 LTD V8 110,000 miles. 87 octane. Heavy sulfur upon hard excelleration over the past 5000 miles. So it's past the warranty. Does this mean that the converters demise is imminent and necessitate replacement? Man that could get real expensive! Live with it and not worry...

Thanks for the reply. How 'bout the seat ergonomics relative to your 2008? I'm 6'2" and I find the front driver and passenger seats uncomfortable after 30 min in my 05.

Just curious how it tracks at freeway speeds? My 05 LTD 108k miles is not as tight as I would like, then again I'm particular about this aspect of long distance driving.

Well, as a follow-up, I test drove a 2011 SR5 with leather and the seat ergonomics were far better than my '05. Plenty of seat travel and even at the lowest setting it was a good 3" higher off the floor pan. It was a demo with 5K miles and already the leather looked fairly worn and felt thin...

Now that's a test drive!
