If it was a faulty injector, it would be a very noticeable miss...shaking etc. Hows your fuel pump and filter...are they original equipment?

Had to revive this because I found exactly the opposite. The fuel injectors on this gen are known to have issues. Just replaced mine and it fixed my misfire codes.

Maybe check compression...and plugs to see if you have any oil residue on any of them. Also, could be a vacuum leak in my experience.

My Subaru with 238000 miles has the original carb, drivetrain and engine. It takes about 12 seconds to get to 60 with a strong wind helping it and the radio is toast...yet it starts without fail. Very few electronics on it. Similar story with my old fj60 except mpg was about 20mpg less...

Looks like a nice rig. I wouldn't be afraid of salvage title. Just have the truck inspected by a Toyota shop for frame issues etc. That's a great price IMO. I bought a salvage yota yaris and it turned out to be an excellent car..like new.

Yes, it's outrageous. Even though it has low miles, I'd hold out for a $7-9k 4runner in the same condition. Miles are over rated in these 4runners.. You can find one with 100k and the truck would still be getting broken in the the PO took care of it well. The truck is worth what people are...
