    Oil Leak Blues..

Another spot to check is the crankshaft seal. I had a small leak around 148k KM (around 91k miles) that I noticed a couple years ago, and it ended up being the crankshaft seal. It was a small leak that ended up taking the few periodic visits while getting regular maintenance (after almost...

    Scraped Bottom of Door Well

I'm sure you could have it professionally done, but for how much I look down there and after touching up myself, I have to really be looking to notice. I guess it comes down to personal preference and skill and what I personally find acceptable to live with. I don't like the toyota pen, but...

    Scraped Bottom of Door Well

I have put some 3M protective clear vinyl tape film (after touching up). Just this past winter, I noticed that there was some rust coming at the door sills trim where sand, etc. gets underneath and rubs over time. It wasn't too bad, but wanted to nip it in the bud now. Spent a good part of the...

    Limited XRES - How dependable?

2016 Limited with 138k KM and no issues so far; living in atlantic Canada, lots of road salt and near the ocean, plus take it down fire roads a dozen times a year (no hard off-roading though).

    Order Limited with Non-Limited wheels?

I currently run by 20's with Cooper Discoverer AT3 4s at a wider 275 width tire (had to slightly modify the liner using a heat gun as they slightly rubbed at full lock going in reverse) and they've run fine for the past 2 seasons and like them better for the odd fire roads/ATV roads I do a few...

    [Solved] Limited with No Lights

Did you check to see if you're parking brake is on? Some vehicles have headlights/DRL disabled if parking brake is on, even a little. Might be the case here?

    Limited Model Blowouts ?

Had my Limited since 2017 and only swap out my 20's for 17's for winter, and switch back to 20's in spring. I don't do any serious off-roading, but like hitting the odd gravel road some weekends or when camping in Eastern Canada for some mild exploring with the family. You do hit some mild...

Going Bigger - 5th Gen Tire Fitment Guide

Did the same thing to my Limited as well (putting the 275/55 20 Coopers AT3 4s on), but did get some very slight rubbing, only in reverse when turning hard, nothing a heat gun and a little pushing couldn't fix though. Like these much better than the OEM Yoko's.

    Hatch Rattle, Latch Adjustment?

After having this annoying rattle coming from the back and having both myself and the wifey sit in the back to hear the noise to figure what it was...she must have better ears, she figured out that holding the hatch tight from the inside made the sound go away but once letting go, it came back...

Let's see your Travel Trailer Combo's

Darn. We had booked our this year summer vacay trip back in January, going to Cape Breton....then the provincial lockdowns happened, but we were fortunate that within a month of the July trip, they opened up travel within Atlantic Canada and we were able to venture out and do the trip. This...

What was the #1 reason you bought a T4R instead of anything else?..

Main reason we were looking for any SUV was we had just bought a small travel trailer for the fam and we weren't going to tow it with the Odyssey. Our criteria was that it had to be reliable (Japanese brand), a tow capacity of min. 5,000lbs, and the wifey didn't want a truck. After searching...

Those with a 3rd row...do you use it?

We have a 9 & 7 year old and probably use our 3rd row about a dozen times a year or so, mostly for when we have kids friends/cousins or the grandparents. It's nice to have and the kids don't complain when they're back there.

    Towing RV

We tow this 2017 Starcraft 19BHS, which is just under 3700lbs dry. I live in Atlantic Canada, so its not extremely hilly nor has high elevations. On the way to Quebec - July 2019 by Mark McGraw, on Flickr We do about 30 nights a year or so, and most trips are under 2 hrs from home, except...
