If it's a V8 I believe it takes 6.7 quarts including the filter. I'll double check this when I get a chance to look in the manual, unless someone with a better memory chimnes in before then! :arrow:

When you drive with the rear window down there's a reverse draft that can basically blow the exhaust fumes into the cabin (hence the strong sulphur smell when it's down). Obviously breathing these fumes is not good. ;)

Yeah the bolts were on there pretty tight, I was afraid I was gonna strip the heads before they would start to loosen. I finally got them to break free though, smooth sailing after that! :cool:

Hey all, I just crossed 1000 miles on my new 4Runner and am planing to change the oil in the next day or so. After taking a quick look at the oil filter's location it looks like it's a little tricky to get to. Reaching under the vehicle the skid plate gets in the way, and trying to get to it...

From what I understand the cladding on the SR5/Sport models have a scratch resistant coating. Also, since it's not painted I'm sure any scratches you do get on the cladding will not be as obvious. The appearance package SR5's & Limited models will get damaged just as easily as any other...
