Maas Metal Polish For Clear Headlights So easy: Give a cursory clean of headlights, working in small areas rub on polish, wipe off with soft rag. Took me about 5 minutes. Maas has a variety but this is what I used. (photo wasn't as clear I wanted but they look great now).

Last year I had a similar diagnosis so I took it to my, now only, mechanic for a 2nd opinion to see what they'd come up with. Nothing, they found nothing. I then told them what the dealer said they found and they looked again, nothing. Could be something they're pushing for whatever reason or $...

I wasn't in the habit of giving the dash a good feel, but from what i can tell the "bumps" on the old dash match the new one, and the color is correct.

Mine is like yours, illuminated when on, AC or Auto, no lights when off. Also, I have no illumination on up or down temperature. Not been bothering me, so I won't deal with it until something else goes out or if I update the stereo deck. 04 SR5.

I have an '04 4Runner with a severely cracked dash. I called the 1800 number and was told my VIN wasn't included in the Customer Support Program (CSP): ZE6. Keep tryin', folks.
