    I called both air lift and firestone,there is no listings for 2011 2wd for 4runner,only 4wd...I asked why,and both said rear spring is different??.. I might go to a Toyota parts listing to verify...so instead a bought Timbrens...see how they work out.

    Checked out the lexus hitch on there version of the Toyota 4runner (I think it's a GX470)....big diff! it's alot beefier!...and it mounts closer to the axle on the frame rails,like a ford/chevy/dodge...would like to see pics,and or a more specific write up,as this is important for towing maxed...

    Bildro,it seems that 2wd rear spring is diff then 4wd,and ther is no listing for 2wd in either firestone or air lift for 2011 4runner....older vehicles seem to have more options for vehicle upgrades...all I want to do is decrease the sag when I hitch up trailer,which has a high tongue...

    weight distributing hitch

    Thank you,I'm not worried about trailer wght...it's the tongue wght.you can't put anywhere near 500lb tongue wght on the back of a 5th gen 4 runner,without the axle hitting the bump stops.Thought the hitch was mounted like a ford/chevy,should of realized this before purchase:(

    You are correct,most weight distrubuting hitches are bolted to the frame rails like a ford or chevy,toyota mounts it on rear crossmember,which doesn't distribute the load as well as if it was mounted on actual frame rails,aka ford dodge chevy....just trying to find out if there is an aftermarket...
