    loose oil drain bolt

I have had problems with most plastic, copper, and rubber inside metal types of oil drain washer/gaskets at some point or another over the years on various vehicles. I have not had any problems with the plain old aluminum type on any vehicle. I do currently use the factory Toyota gaskets that...

    CV Boot Leaking, Awesome...

Thanks Brownfaux that makes sense and I will keep in mind. I think the oem size is very tight boot to me and apparently may be too tight/short and may also be made of to stiff a material? Like qingyuwu mentioned it should take a long time before you actually need to replace the axle but I just...

    CV Boot Leaking, Awesome...

I don't plan on fooling with this again until say maybe first of next summer but in regards to my question of using the ops axle company with the longer boots on a non lifted do you all see any problems? I would think no problem but just wanted to see what you all thought? Thanks regarding...

    CV Boot Leaking, Awesome...

Oh man I just replaced both axles I think in the spring and just popped the drivers side boot out while doing a full lock left turn on level pavement. I got the re-man axles at O'riely. Think this is a design flaw?(I have no lift.) Can I use the ops new type CVJ Axles without a lift?

    pls advise: conventional or synthetic

I use pennz ultra synthetic and mobile 1 high mi. synthetic mostly to extend oil change intervals with (4) vehicles it seemed I was always underneath one of them changing oil. I have switched three of these over from conventional at 72k, 90k, and 120k miles with no apparent leeks due to going...

    Battery Question

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/104781-strange-rear-wiper-issue.html mentions the rear wiper coming on when you start up is a sign the battery is going out soon. I am still on my original Panasonic with my '06 98k and know it is just around the corner time to replace. Man I wished...

Glad to have had a 4runner

No mention of how the other people came out in the VW? You did mention their SRS did not deploy but did they have any injuries? Looks to me like their car may have absorbed a lot of the impact releasing energy in the car and hopefully not to them.

Michelin LTX AT 2 Reviews/Feedback needed

Best tires I have ever purchased. We have them on our van and the installer guy who came out from behind the front desk just to have fun personally mounting good tires at TD said they are the only tire that never requires more than 3/4 ounce of weight and often is less than 1/2 per tire.

Help regarding 4th Gen selection? Bye bye to 5th?

The only thing better in the 5th gen I would think is most likely what I suspect may be taller seats from floor to butt with more head room but I have never sat in one. I personally have never liked the body style of the 5th but I also don't like the "laid back" seating position of the 4th gen...

    Made last payment

Like MikeInNH says "keep making those payments but to yourself". You could however reward yourself by only saving half of that payment to savings and then just totally forget about having that money in your account.:hatsoff:

    Black Friday Tire Sale?

I hear their "name brand tires" do not have the normal warranties from manufacture and are made specificaly for them at their required price point. I would not even want them touching a vehicle of mine.
