Thanks all for the replies. Absolutely would only be using Denso parts. Everything else has been done maintenance wise. MAF was cleaned. Plugs are fairly new. Air filter is clean. Yada, yada. All that had me wondering if the ignition coils could be suspect.

Yeah, they have lasted plenty long for sure. My question though is do they start to wear out… do they deliver s weaker spark towards the end of their life, or do they work 100% until they don’t? Make sense?

My ‘07 V8 4Runner has almost 230k miles on her. I’m a stickler for maintenance with it. My question is concerning the ignition coils. Do these slowly “wear out”, similar to spark plugs or do they simply work fine until they die? They’re original to the vehicle, basically I’m trying to decide...

@ Zeus....the problem is, I can't find any mechanics locally that share your mentality concerning brake jobs. I'm quite confident that the Australian DBA rotrs and something along the lines of Hawk pads would solve 80% of my problem, but nobody will do a "correct" brake job as you describe on...
