    Fox suspension?

I have 5100’s with ome springs. It’s plush, but my springs are too soft for my weight. I just mainly do fire roads and dirt trails, however, I always have to go slow. I like the idea of the fox 2.5 dsc, and want to hear it’s on another level than the bilsteins. Was that your experience even for...

    Patio's GX Build

Patio I would love an update on the elka suspension. Been doing all the research on high end suspension... elk, toytec boss aluma, radflo, king, bilstein B8 8112’s. I daily drive and don’t wanna rebuild that often but want a really nice off-road set up.... have you rebuilt the elka’s yet?

    Patio's GX Build

I had a 2000 4runner limited which is the best of all 3rd gen’s IMO since it had the e locker...bilstein 6112/5100 ome in rear. Wife and 3 kids. Anyways, I bought an 04 gx470 and am very happy with the upgrade. Better in power, ride comfort, interior space. I don’t regret the swap. The only...

    255/80/17 to 285/70/17 on SCS Stealth 6

Do you have any good photos of the ridge grapplers on the 8.5” wheel? I am looking to do the 255/80/17 on ray10’s but like you was concerned about airing down. Is it just a myth it’s an issue or have you ever heard of someone actually rolling a bead because of it? What’s the tread width of this...

    Report-out, Nitto Ridge Grappler LT255/80-17

How wide is the actual tread of the 255/80/17 ridge grappler? The st maxx is 8.1, I’m curious if these are wider or narrower on the actual face that touches the ground...

    255/80/17 Nitto Ridge Grappler pics?

I also want to see these mounted on 8.5” wheels. I can’t find anywhere what the tread width actually is. The st maxx is 8.1” with an overall width of around 10”, and the bfg mt2 is only like 7.1” tread width. I’ve seen several 255/80/17 mounted on 8.5” rims, just not the ridge grapplers with any...

Need advice on high mileage 3rd gen/build thread

I don't think I have the time or energy to try and do the body work to repair the wrecked one, it would definitely need a new inner fender apron, front core support, fender, bumper, hood, lights, etc, plus probably whatever else is smashed on that side! Would I be crazy to pay 5k for it being...

Need advice on high mileage 3rd gen/build thread

If the frame isn’t tweeked I could probably fix the wrecked one for 1500 with new hood, fender, lights, core support, inner apron, ac condenser etc. however.. if I have to pay 3000 for the wrecked car and out 1500 into it and it’s all stock I am not gonna have much left over to modify it...

Need advice on high mileage 3rd gen/build thread

The wrecked one has a magnuson supercharger on it already! Appears to have been installed around 45k miles. I plan to look at it next Wednesday to see if it could be repaired. From the photos the left front core support is in probably 6” and the fender is mangled as well as headlight mount area...

Need advice on high mileage 3rd gen/build thread

The 4wd transmission is different than the 2wd transmission. Not sure about oil pan but being a v6 I don’t know why it would be. It’s always smarter to do a like to like swap if you aren’t sure. Go to car-part.com and search for engine for your vehicle and see what comes up.

As long as it’s the 6 cyl. It’s the same engine and will swap over.

Need advice on high mileage 3rd gen/build thread

Is the photobucket link not working? I need to order the photos as they are all over the place. Rx8 seats are very comfy, and the swap was easy. Just go to a junk yard and steal the factory seat floor brackets off some tore up ones and weld and grade 10 bolt them onto a piece of 1x2 steel tube...
