that is where the cooling unit is located along with all the elecrical connections and most of the relays remove the golve box to access everything back there do you have the fsm with wiring diagrams and troubleshooting guides??

sounds like maybe a temprature switch relay is malfunctioning have you checked the wiring diagrams or tested any electrical components of the a/c system??

have you verified there is no coolant flowing to the sensor, or are you guessing there is no coolant there?? the temp guage sender in the engine needs coolant flowing over it to read properly, it will not read air, i.e. if the guage reads a temp, the sender probably has coolant flowing over it...
