    3rd gen 4runner or Xterra

The 3.3 in the 1st gen Xterra is a dog and it gets awful gas mileage. Overall, Nissan just seems to have less polish than Toyota does. But Nissans are pretty reliable, just like Yotas. The 2nd gen Xterra is actually pretty nice, but I'd take a 3rd or 4th gen over it still. I have had a 2nd gen...

Long term update V8 swap up date.

I'll definitely do that sometime soon. I didn't realize you owned a gun store. I just got back from Freeman Park last week. I'm in Surf City right now.

    Natural White revitalization thread

Yeah, my Natural White 4Runner shined up nice. My Desert Dune looks cloudy and neglected even after multiple wax jobs.

Another internet Google thing to try to track your information thread!

If you care about privacy, don't use Google or Facebook. It's really as simple as that. I've had my Google web history disabled for years, but they still serve up content based on my searches, e-mails, etc. If you want to really freak yourself out, have a look at everything Google has on you...

    Anyone good with car loans?

I hope you didn't take me wrong. I completely support the idea of buying a car with cash and most definitely support economic conservatism. I just think it's a bit unrealistic in this economy. At least for me it is, but then again I'm a recent college graduate with a fair amount of college debt...

    Anyone good with car loans?

If you can get in at NCSECU, you can probably get financed. But that requires that either you or someone in your family be a state employee. You can easily get a loan there as long as three factors are met: the loan is at or less than NADA value, you have enough income to meet their ratio...

    Transmission Issues

I do have a low whine in the engine somewhere that changes with RPMs. I assume it's the alternator, but haven't had time to nail it down yet. Since the engine isn't throwing any codes it's just hard to say. I guess new fluid will be a good place to start, right?

    Transmission Issues

Have started noticing some transmission-related issues popping up recently. The most prevalent is a kind of light bucking in first and second gear. Particularly when I give it a good amount of gas, it kind of feels like it's struggling to put the power to the rear wheels and go. Then, when on...

    V8 conversion

Hey Singtoe I'm officially in the same county as you now, so I think I need to ride the 20 minutes to see this beast in person.

    2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

In my family we've owned all generations of the GCs. 98 Orvis, 99 Limited, and 05 Laredo. I recently got rid of a 98 Cherokee. The 98 and 99 GCs were junk. We had constant issues. The Cherokee's water pump went out before 100k miles and the rear end and transfer case were going when I sold it...

Too much lift from LC coils

I'm about to have some LC 8 wraps that I'd be willing to trade you for the 891s if he doesn't want to. I don't want as much lift as the LC 8 wraps are going to give me.

Gas mileage WAY down with 265 75 16's?

Man that just does not seem right. I'm not sure what it could be, but something is causing inefficiency somewhere (obviously). I filled up yesterday with 14.9 gallons and I was at 275.1 miles.

Post your Pics if you have LC coils as your lift!!

Yeah I was thinking OME 881s with a TO spacer, but not sure. That would still be 1 inch or more of rake. I'm not really planning to go past a 265/75 so I'm not sure if the LC coils are just going to be too much.
