I was in a Target parking lot tonite and saw a 4Runner Limited...looks like it had the JBL stereo...this stereo is bigger than our stock radio but looks similar and it covers the entire opening...our radio is smaller and that's probably why they moulded the trim to the console...the rest of the...

sory, didn't take a pic...the kit from Metra is shaped exactly like the trim around the stock radio...the problem is that the trim around the stock radio is actually part of the console...except it's painted black and the console is painted silver....there's no way you could actually cut it off...

Salsa, sorry but the Metra trim kit doesn't fit...the trim around the stock radio is moulded to the console and cannot be removed...i guess the JBL system has a slightly different opening even though the console looks exactly the same.

Salsa06...it seems like all the 4th-gen 4runners have the same "opening" whether they have Nav installed, or a stock radio with CD. I'm not sure what makes a JBL system any different...for example, my 2005 4runner has a standard radio with CD but i could have gotten the JBL system in the same...

Trim Kit for 2005 4runner with AVIC-D3 I just got the AVIC-D3 and i ordered a trim kit from Metra...i'm not sure if this kit will fit but i'm gonna give it a try. There's another thread where someone used this kit on a 2005 4runner with JBL...my 4runner doesn't have JBL...his kit looks...
