I may be wrong but I believe if you just push the button it will turn it off up to 15 or so mph (then it will come back on). If you push and hold I think it will stay off until you push it again or restart the 4runner.

Unless I'm missing something, I wouldn't want to paint (or get paint on) the rotor and caliper. That's why I would mask it all off, I didn't realize or think about being able to brush paint on it. I like that idea too.

Roof box I have the same roof top box and noticed you were able to get the rear hatch all the way open. Do you have any full side pictures showing with the roof box? It looks like it has to be slid a long ways forward, do you have any issues with the front of the box bouncing around? Thanks.

I agree...I'm just throwing it out there. I have found the corporate policy is usually to blame, not the guys actually doing the work.

One thing I didn't see mentioned is that some tire shops will not work on vehicles with spacers installed. Such as rotations or balancing....if that matters to you. Just something to keep in mind. :biggrin1:

I have both a Yakima rail setup and I use the factory crossbars I think both have their place. I also have a long roof top box I use and thought I would mention my main problem you might keep in mind. My roof top box is long enough for skis, the downside is with it mounted I can't open the rear...

Another option is to put them on the back of the hood protector instead of the hood. Then they are there just in case but not on your paint.
