What did yours look like @m@m . I.e. where was fluid coming from? I'm going to attach some photos now that I have had a chance to look closer. My fluid seems to be developing behind the Black plate that says "Aisin" on it. Removed the outer cover and fluid was all over the lower 2 torx screws...

earthrealm I will be taking some stuff apart (covers and what not) to try and better locate what exactly is leaking tonight. Where was the culprit located (more specifically) on your 4runner?

Same Problem, same year I had the same problem start on my 2003 V8 4x4 this last week. Flickering light which i thought was due to e-brake, only to find ou that my fluid has been leaking out and running down to the front left wheel well. Does anyone know whats going on here??? Help please.

Wheelin' Mendocino National Forest Some new mods since the last posts. I took off the roof racks which I have never liked and rarely used. This improved mpg slightly, decreased wind noise, and looks better IMO. I also added a slightly larger, more aggressive tire, 265 75 16.

Why is mine displaying theses same unlock and stay unlocked symptoms while in cruise, on flat ground, with no head or tailwind, and no speed increase, no load increases on the drivetrain whatsoever? just randomly unlocking??

Since have yet to figure out what is causing the issue, I was going to do this next. A true flush (filling and draining multiple times) takes a lot of fluid so I am reluctant to try. And, the fluid in the vehicle is at the correct level when warm, and is fresh ( fairly new). So, I am reluctant...
