    No heat

The cabin air temp sensor is a pretty common culprit. It's located just south of the ignition, behind the panel. 2 10mm bolts to take the panel off and the sensor is just clipped in to it. Make sure that it's connected and clean. Sometimes the vent for it gets clogged with dust and dirt as well.

    Cracked Block?

That's a thought! I'll add it to my list of possible solutions. I appreciate the input.

    Cracked Block?

Hey rdruss - thanks for the response. It is indeed the V6, and the way that I was able to locate the coolant leak was by pressurizing the cooling system. It seems to be a very small leak, less than a half ounce of water during the entire time I had the system pressurized (probably an hour total?).

    Cracked Block?

Hello all! I've got a 2006 4Runner SR5 V6 with 330k on her. I've been losing coolant slowly, and haven't been able to track down the source, but finally dug deep enough to find it tonight. Coolant is puddling up on the block behind the starter, in the location pictured. There is no coolant...

    Highest Mileage 4th Gen?

Just passed 318k. The 14 year old middle school me, that still lives within me, considers this to be quite the milestone. If you were like me, you enjoyed spelling "boobie" with your calculator, and hopefully you will appreciate this achievement!

    What size spare tire fits?

I can only speak for the V6 model, but I've got a 285/70/17 KO2 on a 17x8 (maybe 17x9) wheel stuffed up under there. It is touching the sway/panhard bar and barely clears the tow package. I've heard that the V8 models have a more substantial tow package, so if you're running a V8 it might be...

Bilstein 5100 2.5" front and daystar 2" spacer rear, on stock springs. Good?Bad?Ugly?

No worries, and thank you. I am quite impressed by the ride quality. I don't do anything that requires excessive amounts of flex/articulation while I'm out messing around in the woods, so I can't say how it performs in extreme conditions, but for every day use and BLM roads, the ride quality is...

Bilstein 5100 2.5" front and daystar 2" spacer rear, on stock springs. Good?Bad?Ugly?

I'm running close to that setup. Bilstein 5100's all around, stock springs, 1.5" Daystar spacers in the back. The Bilsteins are set at the highest setting up front. Running 285/70/17 tires. Attached a photo of my setup.

    Interior Rear Hatch release Button

Thank you for the write-up and for all of the comments. It made this mod a breeze. I noticed that most of the photos' hosting has expired, so I took a few photos during the process. I uploaded them to an Imgur album so hopefully they'll be around for a while. Cheers! <blockquote...
