I use Akebone pads. They don't squeak and last a long time. They are a bit more expensive than your basic pad from auto zone but well worth it.

My 05 Gen4 TPMI never worked properly, so count yourself fortunate. I ultimately bypassed it as that light drove my OCD crazy. Not much help, i'm afraid, but at least you have an option if the system goes nutz like mine did a few years back
